About the role
As a part of the Operations team at Thatch, you’ll spend your time tackling operational issues and driving initiatives to provide a best-in-class member experience. Your role is critical in ensuring Thatch meets and exceeds our member needs while helping strategically scale operations to support the rapid growth of our business.
We’re looking for people with a high motor who are not afraid to do the dirty work. You should be able to move quickly and have a genuine passion for delighting our users. Additionally, if you have an aptitude for identifying and executing efficient processes and can communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, we’d love to chat.
What you'll do
- Manage a queue of operational tasks that span a variety of product areas such as payments, substantiations, and reimbursements.
- Closely partner with the Engineering and Operations teams to build internal and external tools for requests from Thatch members, ensuring that their needs are met quickly and effectively.
- Obsess over our members and operational metrics, helping to proactively surface and uplevel the understanding of how our members are using the Thatch product across the company.
Background we're looking for
- Some relevant experience in support, operations, or a related role, ideally at a tech company; we welcome ambitious new grads to apply as well
- Ability to effectively communicate and work with both technical and non-technical teams
- A proactive, optimistic, growth-minded approach, complemented by the resilience to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving workplace.

Experience we’d be particularly excited about
- Experience working with modern tooling (Help Scout, Linear, Notion) in a support or operations organization.
- Excitement about technical concepts, great analytical skills, and comfort explaining technical concepts to a range of audiences.
- Someone with a high motor and chip on their shoulder - we love people who are not afraid to do the dirty work but also have the ability to envision a better world with greater efficiency

- 15 minute phone screen to talk through your background and interest in Thatch
- 30 minute Zoom meeting with the hiring manager to dive deeper into your experience and the role
- 60 minute Zoom meeting to work through a live case study with two members from the team
- 30 minute Zoom meeting to meet two members of the team
- 30 minute Zoom meeting with our founders to discuss your approach to culture and our operating principles
