About the role
At Thatch, we’re on a mission to build a healthcare system people love. We’re taking a unique approach in a legacy space, with backing from some of the world’s top investors (a16z, Google Ventures, General Catalyst) and a team of early employees from companies like Stripe, Rippling, Ramp, Brex, and Shopify.
As our Head of Product, you’ll be the steward of our product vision and execution. You’ll lead a growing team of exceptional product managers, partner managers, data scientists, and general managers. You’ll partner closely with engineering, design, GTM, and operations, and will work directly with our founders to shape a platform that serves employers, employees, brokers, and partners.

You'll bring taste, product intuition, and high standards to everything you touch — while helping the entire team do the same. This role is highly cross-functional and strategic, and we’re looking for someone who thrives in ambiguity, translates complexity into clarity, and pushes the work — and everyone around them — to be better.
What you'll do
- Define and drive Thatch’s product vision, strategy, and roadmap in close partnership with the founders.
- Lead and grow a high-performing, mission-driven product team, fostering a culture of ownership, intellectual curiosity, and thoughtful execution.
- Champion a high bar for quality and craft in everything we ship — balancing speed with care and polish.
- Work closely with design, engineering, ops, growth, and sales to deliver product experiences that feel considered, cohesive, and empowering.
- Guide discovery and execution across multiple surfaces, from employer and broker dashboards to member experiences and partner APIs.
Background we're looking for
- 5+ years in product management, including 3+ years as a Head of Product or similar role.
- Proven experience at a high-growth startup defining vision, leading cross-functional teams, and launching meaningful products.
- A systems thinker who’s comfortable operating across technical, operational, and design domains.
- Exceptional communication skills; you can clearly articulate product thinking, inspire teams, and align stakeholders.
- Deep, unrelenting care for user experience, and the ability to translate user needs into product strategy and work that feels elegant and intentional.
Experience we’d be particularly excited about
- Experience in regulated industries like healthcare or fintech, where clarity, trust, and precision matter.
- A background building platforms or ecosystems (e.g. APIs, marketplaces, integrations).
- 3+ years in a user-facing function (e.g. sales, support, ops) where you’ve seen the frontlines.
- A track record of hiring, mentoring, and scaling product teams through multiple stages of growth.
- Strong design sensibilities and belief that small details create trust.
