🥳 We’re thrilled to announce the launch of Thatch! Thatch is a modern health benefits platform for startups. Our mission is to help startups give great healthcare to their teams.

Paying for healthcare is painful, but it shouldn't be

The entire experience of paying for healthcare is awful, both for businesses and their employees. From covering premiums, to fighting denied claims and misbillings, to saving for future expenses, the process today is a huge mess.

Thatch makes it easy for startups to offer amazing healthcare to their teams in a few minutes. We give employees a unified, tech-forward experience for healthcare spending and saving by layering on top of any health plan. The net result is that employees love their benefits, and startups spend less time managing the burden associated with providing them.

We're making this experience possible by leveraging the same fintech infrastructure that's made it easy to buy and sell products online over the past decade. We're particularly excited about modernizing the existing healthcare payments rails (HSAs, FSAs, and HRAs) to make them more accessible and easy to use. There's so much we can improve here.

Raising $6m from a16z and GV

This is a long-term mission, and it'll take us time and money to execute on our vision. We're delighted to share that we raised over $6m in a seed round, led by Andreessen Horowitz and GV, with participation from Lux, Quiet Capital, Not Boring Capital (Packy McCormick), and some really amazing angels. We're thrilled to have them as investors and partners.

We'll use the capital to hire a team of amazing people, build out our product, and continue to grow our business. We're always on the lookout for remarkable folks, so if you're interested in joining us, check out our jobs page!

What's next for Thatch?

In the near term, we'll continue working with startups who want to provide a better healthcare experience for their employees. If you're a founder or work on benefits at a startup, we'd love to show you a demo!

Longer term, we aim for Thatch to be the default platform every forward-thinking company uses to provide health and wellness benefits for their teams. We believe we have a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of millions of people by making healthcare more accessible and affordable.
